Delete your Budgetly account
Applies to the Budgetly app for iPhone and Android · Budgetly
You can delete your account and the data stored with it at any time, directly inside the App. Deleting your account is permanent.
Steps
- Open Budgetly and tap Profile (tap your picture on the Home screen).
- Scroll to Session and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. If you signed in with an email, enter your password when asked. Guest accounts do not need a password.
What is deleted
- Your account details (name, email address and password hash)
- Your wallets, categories, transactions, budgets and recurring schedules
- Your in-app notifications
- Your receipt photos and profile picture
What may remain
- Copies in backups, for a limited time before they are overwritten.
- Analytics data held by Google Firebase, which follows Google’s own retention settings.
- Information we are required by law to keep.
Reinstalling or switching phone?
Uninstalling the App from your phone does not delete your account. Use the steps above first. If you use a guest account, save it with an email and password (Profile → Save my account) before changing phones so you can sign in again; otherwise delete it here.
