Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
Budgetly (“the App”) is a personal finance app for iOS and Android that helps you track income, expenses, budgets, and wallets. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you use Budgetly, we may collect and process the following information:
- Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). You may optionally add a profile photo.
- Financial data. Transactions, categories, wallets, budgets, recurring schedules, and receipt images you create in the App are stored on our servers and linked to your account so you can access them across devices.
- App preferences. Settings such as currency, language, theme, and date format are stored with your account.
- Notifications. In-app notifications about budgets, spending, and account activity may be generated and stored on our servers.
- Usage analytics. The App uses Firebase Analytics, which may collect device and usage information to help us understand how the App is used. Firebase data is processed by Google.
- Advertising data. Budgetly displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and interaction data to serve and measure ads. See Google's privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.
Permissions
Budgetly may request the following device permissions:
- Photo library access. Required only when you choose to attach a receipt to a transaction or update your profile picture. Budgetly does not access your photos unless you initiate an upload.
- File sharing (Android). Required when you export a report and choose to save or share the exported file.
You can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.
How we use information
We use the data described above to:
- Provide and maintain your account and sync your financial records across devices
- Calculate dashboards, reports, budget progress, and notifications
- Understand which features are most useful so we can improve the App

Data stored locally on your device (such as authentication tokens and cached settings) remains until you uninstall the App or clear the App's storage.
Children's privacy
Budgetly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, delete the account through the App or uninstall the App.
